While I did enjoy this book, and actually read it on the recommendation from another author while reading a different book, I found myself fighting to read the last few chapters of the military battle. I do love historical fiction, and military history, but for some reason this took more effort than I had planned. I did enjoy the story overall, and thought the book very well planned out and researched to be historically accurate. If you love this time period and are a history or military buff, you will like this book.
