Somehow I've missed how to do that. And I can't find it in the help section.

I want to be able to insert pictures in my forums posts. Not sigs or icons.

Thanks!

It depends on your browser - using Firefox - I find the picture I want to post from the internet (it must be online, it cannot be a picture on your computer).  I make sure I have two browser windows open - one with the photo and one with the Post a Reply box. I click my left mouse button and while holding it down, drag the image to the Post A Reply box, then release.  The image shows up in the Post a Reply box.

I haven't had any luck with other browsers.

I have IE and I copy and paste the pics I want to post.  They have to be on the internet already, like on Facebook, etc.

Thanks, Mary and Mary!

I was hoping to use pictures from my computer. Urgh. I'll go look for a picture hosting site then.

Any good suggestions?

Or where I could set up a free web page? I used to have one, years ago, but it's been a while and I don't even know if there are any free hosting sites like Geocities anymore.

You can just open the picture in your browser, it doesn't actually have to be online.

I use photobucket for my online storage.

Just to be more clear, you can use your browser to view a photo from your hard drive, and then you can drag it from there.  It doesn't actually have to be uploaded to the internet at all.

copying and pasting from my computer doesn't work in Firefox or IE.  I can only get it to work if the picture is online.

I'm running IE8 on Windows 7 and I can't post pics either. Copy and paste doesn't work.Neither does the click and drag. I wish I could figure it out. :(

I'm with Rhonda, no luck posting from my computer in Firefox or IE.  All successful methods I've read seem to involve an online pitt stop...something about acquiring the proper formatting?

ETA - for clarification.  I can post an avatar pic from my computer, but not in the body of a post.

Yep, I've tried multiple times to post a photo from my computer using instructions members shared here, but no good!

Just tried again--- the profile page actually has been updated since I last tried, it appeared it worked, but I can't "see" it on my posts yet!
