I am toying with an idea don't know if I will go forward with it because I like running swaps. Would anyone be interested in a Historical Virtual Box?

I would allow all types of historical fiction, HF mystery, HF Christian, HF paranormal, HF Romance, History nonfication and historical biographies.

Books would have to have a minimum of  5WL

If you are not familiar with VB here is a link to the WL VB

Let me know if you would join if I opened one I would need to run by the moderators and I need to chat with a few folks who run them to find out how much of a pain it is to run and keep up to date.

Alice

The nice thing about a Virtual box rather than a swap game is your books do not get stolen from you. When it is y our turn you take the books you want available on the board provided you have the credits available.

Sorry, Alice. I'm not interested. But thanks for offering because it sounds like a lot of work.

Alice -- While I like the idea and think it's generous of you to consider hosting it, I'm not sure to what extent I would participate. Between the gazillion books on my TBR shelves and my Kindle app and the books I read for my two monthly book clubs, I'm feeling overwhelmed with books and what I have to read and what I want to read -- and have cut down significantly on swaps. But I'd probably be a generally passive, mostly lurking, occasionally active participant.

I do the WL Box and the Non-Fiction box, and I really enjoy them. You can pass if you don't have books read for the box to put in, and you know how many you can take out based on what your schedule will allow you to read, or what you have read already. I find boxes much easier to participate in than regular swaps, where you oftentimes don't know which book the winner of your offering will want, and you have to read by a deadline when they choose.

If you were to start a Historical box, I would definitely join and play.
