In the almost 3 years I have been here, I have had 1 book go lost enroute to me. This happened about 15 months ago. I just got an e-mail from PBS asking if the book ever got delivered, since it had DC that shows it was. Anyone else ever get an e-mail like this? I am just surprised that over a year later, PBS would still be investigating something like this. The most interesting this was that I was asked to reply to the email, to confirm the book had never arrived.

For the record- the book is still nowhere to be seen. I actually took it out of the library a few months ago.

Weird. Maybe the sender came back to PBS recently and asked them to investigate?

I find that interesting too, since the emails always say to NOT reply. Like Lisa said, maybe the sender wrote PBS and asked about it. Who knows.

I just checked the member who sent the book- account is suspended or closed. Maybe they are investigating how many of her books go lost?

You can go to the Club Communications tab to check if it is really from PBS.   (Can you tell I get fake emails from my bank?)

Maybe this person had a high loss rate and they closed her down while they investigate.

I had a book go lost over a year ago that the DC showed as delivered but I never received the book.  So far no email from PBS about it other then when it first went lost and that was just the credit returned for lost book email.

There have been other spam like incidents recently.  I'd make sure to respond by PBS PM, not by email, just in case.

A brand new WL book I mailed first class in DEC to someone who lives only 2 hours away supposedly never arrived. Starting 2 weeks after mailing, I asked weekly for update

from the intended receiver as I was really ticked that a book I bought for full price and  read and posted immediately  cause it was wishlisted could disappear so easily.

Before the "gone lost" date even occurred she PM'd me to say she went out and bought the book cause she wanted it so badly.

I have never rec'd an email from PBS about it though I let them know I thought I was possibly being cheated.
