I gave this one an excellent rating. It is probably the best that I
have read by Lisa Jackson although I am never disappointed in her writings. This one kept me mystified. I thought I had it figured out
after the first few chapters but boy was I surprised.......I was totally wrong and never suspected the responsible person for the
wrongdoings in the family........recommend it highly. a good and
"can't put it down" type of book. eh, meldrim, ga.
About this title: A psychopathic arsonist bent on revenge pursues a journalist in this work of romantic suspense. Sixteen-year-old Cassidy Buchanan's rich but dysfunctional Oregon family mourned when Cassidy's sister Angie, unmarried and pregnant, died in a deliberately set fire at a Buchanan mill. Common opinion pointed the guilty finger at Brig McKenzie, Cassidy's crush. Seventeen years later, Cassidy faces similar tragedy and falls under suspicion herself when her husband Chase is severely hurt in another Buchanan mill fire.
Cassidy was sixteen and the privilidged daughter of the richest man in town when a fire broke out in her daddy's lumber mill. Handsome hell-raiser Brig was implicated. He fled town in a flurry of controversary. Now, seventeen years later, Brig is back to set the record straight. And Cassidy is the wife of a powerful business tycoon.
Cassidy Buchanan has returned to the town of Prosperity, Oregon with her tycoon husband, only to be involved in a fire similar to one during her 16th summer that her first love, Brig McKenzie, was accused of starting.
Well written. A great weekend read. Story deals with a 2 teenagers one rich the other not who fall in love. Disaster stikes and one leaves town. 17 years later, they both return to the town and realize that they are still in love and still in danager.
