"A delightful and preceptive novel about the creative process and the nature of reality."
"Ursula Hegi has given us a lively first novel about the layered realities of a woman's life. It's funny and sad. and an old-fashioned good one."

"Hegi creates funny and original novel within a novel to explore the doubts, decisions, and "might-have-beens" that mark not only the writing process but life itself."

I loved this book. Once I realized that the POINT is that the author and the main character are very similar, there was no problem switching back and forth. I thought it was brilliant and fun to read.
