In the beginning, I didn't like this book at all! It seemed silly, childish even. Boy, I am so glad I stuck with it! The story of these two friends and how they influenced each other was amazing. There was tension, suspense, and humor throughout, and the ending did not disappoint! It took a long time to get to me, and it was worth the wait - I loved it and highly recommend it! D.

Ellen is overweight, has a scar and had a terrible childhood never feeling loved. As a result she lives in the shadows and doesn't interact with anyone. But one day she sees a blind woman being robbed and she jumps in to help. The two become friends and from there it is a real Thelma and Louise story. They have lots of adventures and help others along the way. By the end Ellen is learning to interact and becoming more a part of society. Fun adventures even if some were a little farfetched! Overall a sweet book about friendship and not ignoring the "invisible" people around us.
