This was a very good story that brings you into Harry's family and what it is like to be a jewish family in the 40's. A learning experience for sure.

I enjoyed the book very much. It tells of a time we should all make ourselves familiar with and translate to today's world. Tolerance of people's differences would make our world a world of peace.

I was so touched by this book. And to learn the age of the author was so inspirational.
We think life is tough until we see how others have struggled and not only survived but contributed so much to others.
Harry's family was quite unique--so much contrast between "good and evil" GOOD being Harry and his mom. BAD being the father and sister Rose.

Loved this memoir. Hard to believe it was written by a 94 year old man.
