While I never really took to the maine character, I ended up really enjoying the book. It got my attention and I ended up reading it in a day just to find out what happened and who the guilty party really was.
As a lot of us know, people can do anything in the face of adversity. This is something Kealy and her children discovered immediately following the death of their husband and father. Readers are taken inside the world of the rich and famous, and then are abruptly tossed on the other side of the tracks along with the main characters of this intriguing book. The people you think can trust, you can't. And the ones you think you can't trust, you should. Kealy learns how to follow her own instincts, as well as those of her children as they unite as a family determined to reclaim their lives. I especially enjoyed the surprise ending.
well written, suspenseful ... the story of a 40 something woman whose husband is murdered and her life is turned upside down
Wonderful book. I highly recommend this book and this author.
This is a very good book. In the beginning the woman feels invisible, due to her not being as young as she once was, but later in the book she realizes that being invisible saves the lives of her children along with herself, after the sudden unexplained murder of her husband and the instructions he called her with to run away from all that she and her kids knew.
