I bought the Iphone app for paperback swap for 1.99  Needless to say it doesn't work.  Lets me log in, then beyond that it says the specified token is not valid.  Really disappointed!  I thought it would be easier for me to scan the barcode instead of having to type in every single book to see if it was WL'd.  Anybody else get this app to work for them?

Hi Karen,

The apps (iPhone and Android) have been developed by individuals, not PBS.  Unfortunately none of them work all that well.  Not sure if the developers are still offering support for their apps, but you might try to contact them.

I do like the free mobile format that PBS offers. Bottom of the page. Basically removes all the side details. Now if we could just have a bar code scanner linked up with it.

Emily - there's always the option of downloading a free keyboard that has a bar code scanner in it.  I've tried it on my older Android with mixed results.  Basically when you put your cursor in the search box and the keyboard pops up, there's a button to scan the barcode.

Sometimes it only captures the first few numbers.  I'm not sure if it's the app or user error; could be a combination of the two.  Would love to hear if anyone else has tried it.

How did you get it to work? I tried the free version and it didn't do anything.

The iphone app works for me.  It's somewhat limited, but the "scan" function works well.  Tells you right away whether the book is available or wishlisted.

It sometimes doesn't bring up my book lists, but the scanner always works.
