Hi,  I just finished Charlie Wilson's War.  I quite enjoyed it and learning about a period of history that we didn't cover in school (not that I liked History then.)  Several references were made to the Iran Contra affair.  I have vague memories of news reports, but I was too young then to appreciate what was going on.

I checked out Amazon and they reviews of the books mentioned there were not inspiring.  I'm not a scholar.  I don't need footnotes up the yin-yang or a dry recital of facts.   Howver, I do favor historical accuracy over an author with a specific agenda.

So have you read a good book on that topic to recommend?  I appreciate your help!

Regardless of what book you read on this subject, political bias will be present.  I recommend you get a copy of the Iran-Contra report by Walsh and use it as a reference, for a dry recital of the facts, as you read a more readable book.
