http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-jesus29apr29,0,4241795.story Above is a link for a new movie made by an Iranian director, about the life of Jesus. Jesus is depicted as a prophet, but not the son of God. The English title is "Jesus, the Spirit of God." The movie has been screened at the Philadelphia Film Festival. |

The Muslims recognize Jesus differently than Christians. For Christians and non-believers it would be for entertainment purposes I suppose. |

How very interesting. Fascinating to see how others see things and concepts we rather take for granted and assume as universal truth. I wonder if there's a hope in the world that it will ever come to Des Moines, Iowa. <sigh> Probably not. Maybe the library can get it for me in time. Thanks! |

I think it's very interesting too! We may get the movie here in Kansas City - hopefully! I think many people don't realize that Muslims recognize Jesus as a prophet.

Thanks for posting this Beverly! I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for it to come out on DVD :) The Islamic traditions and theQuran's teachings about Jesus are what led me to that religion, and will keep me from being a full fledged "Chrisitan". It is a beautiful and peaceful religion, that reveres many of the same prophets as Judaism and Christianity, there are far more similarities between the 3 than differences, especially in the older historical stories of the region. |
