2nd book about Benni Harper, enjoying the characters more with each book. Good story. Interesting twists and turns.
Second book in a fun series. Enjoyed the history lesson, too.
This is a great cozy mystery series. I thoroughly enjoy the characters!
A SUPERB series that takes place in southern CA and tells the story of Benni Harper, each book being named for a quilt pattern.
This is one of the best Benni Harper mysteries! Benni's job as curator of a folk-art museum expands to include planning a "prom" at a retirement home. All seems to go well until an old boyfriend shows up and then his uncle and an elderly friend are found dead in one of the apartments! Then Benni's present-day interest, Gabe, a temporary police chief, wants her in his life but out of his murder cases! As usual, she "helps" by getting in his way quite often!! This is one you won't want to put down until you finish it!!
I love all of Earlene's books. This one is no different! She writes a good mystery without an obvious ending. She remindes me of Grafton's alphabet books.
Another delightful adventure with Benni, Gabe and Dove. You will certainly enjoy this adventure.
Loved it. Can't wait to read more.
I'm really enjoying this series of books! I like that there's some romance without being "too much."
A quick mystery/romance read!
Great, fun series. Benni is fun to read about. Good mysteries
Humorous--Interesting bit on Japanese-Americans during WWII
Second in the Benni Harper quilt mystery series. Love this series!
I have loved all her books. This one is excellent
They are fun mysteries but you should start with the first one, yo make the stories continious.
The second volume of the Benni Harper mystery series.
Meet Benni Harper...a spirited ex-cowgirl, quilter, and folk-art expert who's staking out her own corner of the contemporary American West. She's got an eye for murderous designs - and a talent for piecing together the most complex and cold-blooded crimes....
Benni's taking time for her job at the folk-art museum to sponsor a "senior prom" at San Celina's retirement home. During the dance, she's surprised to find herself waltzing with Clay O'Hara, the Colorado cowboy she had a crush on when she was seventeen. She's even more surprised when Clay's uncle and an elderly woman are found dead in one of the resident's rooms. Now Benni's trying to find a link between the two victims - and the common thread that bound them together to death....
Another Great Benni Harper!
Good book, easy reading. Keeps your attention!
