Does anybody have any suggestions for Irish History, Irish Myth/Religion, and Irish Folktales? My library has tons available and I'm a bit overwhelmed. To make things even more difficult, there's no option to only search non-fiction. Any help is greatly appreciated! |

You might want to read How the Irish Saved Civilization. However, read it tongue-in-cheek, as I have also read How the Scots Saved Civilization, How the Indians Created our Civilization and others. I may not remember the titles exactly, but they are close. |

The Great Hunger, by Cecil Woodham Smith, is a gripping story of the Irish famine of 1845 - 49 that killed a million and a half people and drove another million to the New World in "coffin ships". |

I know this is an old post, but I liked Wars of the Irish Kings by David McCullough. |
