Great Book.  Now I can't wait for the next one.   At least there is supposed to be a book coming out featuring Charles and Anna, from the On the Prowl Anthology.

I loved this book, the series is only getting better.  I agree with Marie, I wanted a few more pages!  Cry Wolf (Anna and Charles Book 1) comes out July 29, I can't wait for this one.

I just thought that -----------I don't know what I thought!!  Brutality comes alive in everyone's world.  Even tho this is a book of all things paranormal (wolves, vampires, elfs, etc), I just didn't expect anything to happen to Mercy.  My heart cried for her.

I got the first Charles & Anna and look forward to their adventures.

Would like to see Sam find someone.

Just finished it.  I think it was probably the best in the series so far.  I cried and it takes a lot for a book to do that.  My only complaint was that it was over so quickly.

Excellent book!  A friend at work started me on the series -- don't think I would have picked it up on my own, and I'm so glad.  The last one was just incredible.  Wish there were more writers like her.

I like the series but i gotta be honest a say i did not like the nasty scene at the end of the book ( those of you who have read it know what scene i am talking about. )  It kinda ruined the book for me so this wou ld have to be my least favorit of the series. It just really disterbed me, idont know why these thing in books dont usually bother me this much but this time it did. I still like the series and am looking forward to the next book but this one was not a keeper. Sorry if i offended anyone but this is just how i feel.

I have to agree with you Heather!!  I read paranormal romance to escape the world for a little while.  My world is wonderful and I have a great husband, but once in a while I (and I believe most of us) just want to indulge my imagination.  My fantasy world doesn't have rape or abuse in it.  It may have Vamps, Wolfs, Elfs, etc., but no abuse of any kind.

I also love horror-zombie-walking dead videos.  I once saw one where a dead man had sex with a dead woman and she had a dead baby.   While they were having sex, he was eating her face.  This was not my idea of a good show.  This is how I felt about this book.  Just my opinion.  I

I will get the next one tho.

I was just updating some book data and ran across Patricia Briggs' website.  Thought some of you might find it of interest.

    http://www.patriciabriggs.com/

A couple of qupotes from the site:

"Next up, the next Mercy Thompson book, which will be in stores in January of '09. Basically, I'm almost a full book behind, and I'm starting to feel like the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. I've got several fun things planned for Mercy -- including the arrival of her Mother right in the middle of things. We'll see some more of the vampires, and all the usual suspects will pop in for a while. This should be a nice fun romp, and a considerably lighter book than Iron Kissed. I can't wait to see what happens!"

" I'm currently working on edits for Cry Wolf, the first book in the Alpha and Omega series. This book will be available in August, 2008."

Her first book was "Masques," about which she wrote:
"Masques and its" (unpublished) "sequel, Wolf's Bane have been resold to Ace, and are to be written into a single book. However, my editor has asked me to write the additional books in the Mercy series first. I honestly don't know when I'll be able to get time for Masques, so I can't give you any idea of when it will be published -- sorry!"

I just found a copy of this last, hard-to-find book stuffed back in my TBR shelf along with some other early Briggs.  I'm going to be moving them up to the front as soon as I finish Iron Kissed.
