I couldn't wait to read Innocent Traitor so I went to Target and paid almost $12 for a trade size paperback last week, think I could post it when I was done. Well, already the cover is separating from the spine. It's still small, about 3/4 inch, but it makes it unpostable by PBS guidlines. I live alone and no one has touched this book but me. I sent Random House an email. It's still readable, just not tradeable. I am really ticked. Last Edited on: 7/24/08 7:07 PM ET - Total times edited: 2 |

Well, Random House replied to my email and they sending me a new book. So now I am happy. I'll get to keep my book and trade it too. |

Good for you, Donna! It pays to assert consumer rights. |

Just adding my two cents - I worked for a small publisher, and if ANYONE called our offices and said there was a problem with one of our books, I would immediately send them a new copy. Duplicate pages, missing pages, too much glue, not enough glue, paper cut too thin on the inside/outside - you name it. It was no sweat for me to make a reader happy! Glad Random House was able to reply to your problem. |
