Seeing how the average person lives to be about 80, yes, I would agree 40 is middle age. Sorry! :P |

I would also say that 40 is middle age. I'm 28 now, I'll be there in about 12 years....not too far off. =( |

Well I'm 43 and I don't feel middle aged (however that is supposed to feel) so I'm going with the old saying that "age is just a number" or "you are as old as you feel". :D |

Eve- I'm right there with you. Late 40's & can't believe I'm middleaged, though I guess I am. But I think in today's world 40 is really not quite there yet. Too much action, too many people delaying marriage, children, etc... I guess with 2 kids in college now the middle age tag is appropriate for me, but if I had waited till I was in my 30's to have children, I would not want to be middle aged at 40. Does that make sense??? Somer, 28 seems like such a long time ago...... now I'm depressed :-( |

Hmmmmmmmm well I used to think 40 was middle aged but now Im 38 and not really thinking about it in any terms such as middle ages, elderly, ect. I feel like I was just in my 20's! It flies by fast but I wouldnt want to go back!My mother is 64 and I still think of her as middle aged.My grandmother is 89 and I see her as elderly:0) Stacy |
