Piers Anthony is a stellar author. I began with his Xanath storie, then picked up his geodyssey novels when they were published. While this is very different from the Xanath humor, it is a thought provoking story that carries the reader through time from past to future while telling the tale of one family/couple. I love historical fiction of this nature, and found it to be an engrossing read.

Transitioning through history and living along side the characters made this an amazing epic. A must read! If you enjoyed Jean Auels Earth Children Series you will like this.

I read this book as a teenager. It reads like oral history. This book along with Gate to Women s Country really shaped my views on women and femininity. I had no idea the book was continued into 4 parts. I am so excited to read the others. Piers has got to be gay, no other man has gotten into the psyche of women so well.
