This...is aimed at a much different woman than me. I just don't relate that well to chick flicks (don't watch them), nail polish (I think I own some), male bashing (just old and not that interestingly done), or several others. The humor was just eh for me for much of the book.

Some of it, I did. I enjoyed part of the discussion of women's underwear, cleaning, parties. Basically, the latter part of the book was amusing. I just had to slog through the beginning part with the more "girly" stuff to get to the better written & more relatable parts.

Not highly recommended, but enough amusement to have made it worth reading. Someone who is more girly might enjoy more of the beginning!

Its A Girl Thing by new to me author Jan King brings a very funny insight to what is going on inside the female mind and why we behave the way we do. I really wasnt sure what to expect when I started reading this. I only picked it up because my Kindle had died and I needed something to read while it was charging. Its A Girl Thing turned out to be a good choice. I saw myself in several of these chapters and believe that every woman can relate to at least one, if not several, of these chapters as well. I wish I had read it sooner and it should be mandatory reading for every girl and woman.

Everything from lipstick, nail polish and our underwear to shopping and dieting, Jan King shines a hilarious spotlight on topics that have confused men for centuries and reminds me that Im not alone, its a girl thing. This is a good book that is funny and entertaining. I recommend this to anyone who is curious why girls do the things girls do.
