I am going to Italy next year 2016. I would like to read some books on Italian Historical Fiction. I will be going to Rome, Pompeii, Naples, Pisa and Florence.

Good for you, Anne.  I love to do lots of reading about the places I visit.  There are many Italian HF books out there but two that I personally recommend are The Agony and the Ecstasy by Irving Stone and Pompeii by Robert Harris.

Donna beat me to it!! I second The  Agony and the Ecstasy. I wish I read it before I went to Florence :/

There's also the book tag for Italy.  It started as a HF project, so there are a number of titles there, but they do cover lots of other genres.

Lucky you, going to Italy! ;-)
