The Italian Summer by Roland Merullo, one of my favorite authors. This is non-fiction, about the golfing/eating summer he had in Italy years back with his wife and 2 young daughters. I love his fiction, love his non-fiction, but I have to admit to skipping whole pages in this book. While I don't golf, I understand the fanaticism of the game. If you golf, you will LOVE this book. He took great notes and you can see and taste it all through his words. You can play along with him. I didn't want to do the golf, but oh! I did sightsee and eat along with him, especially eat.

I give it a star for Italy, a star for the food, a star for writing so that I knew he was talking just to me. If I golfed I'd surely give it 5 stars, but alas, I give it merely 3.
