I was looking at Cindy Gerard's website where she mentioned a fundraiser in progress for author JANIS REAMS HUDSON.

Hudson has emphysema and recently underwent lung transplant surgery. Authors are donating items to be auctioned on eBay to help with Hudson's medical expenses. Most auctions are ending in the next few days, but check here for more info about the auctions.

For more information about Janis Reams Hudson and her condition, and to make donations directly, a website has been set up.

Most of us are probably not able to bid on the auction items or make a donation, but we are all able to offer up prayers and send get well wishes.

I'm sorry to hear that.  I used to love her Loveswept books that she wrote.  Always full of family stories.

Yeah, my first Hudson read was "The Price of Honor," a Silhouette Special Edition and part of a series, "The Wilders of Wyatt County."

Honor is one of those books that "haunts." The reveal is truly a *gasp* moment. She also wrote several Zebras in the early 90s.
