|Page: Unlock Forum posting with Annual Membership.|
Welcome to the Random Acts of Kindness thread, also known as the RAOK place. This is where we post things to give away to others, asking NOTHING in return but a thank you. No money or credits are exchanged. We give freely, at our own expense. If you see something you’d like, PM the member with your mailing info. Please be sure to put full postage on any packages you mail out. Members have reported receiving "gifts" with postage due.
Please note that we must abide by PBS rules - NO buying, selling or advertising allowed.
For liability reasons, sorry, but no medications of any kind may be posted in this forum. This includes prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and supplements.
RAOK rules -
RAOK Tips -
Before you post something to give away, check the ***I Wish*** thread --- someone may already be asking for it!
If you mark "taken" by your items that have been asked for, please do so at the beginning of the line and if possible, put the word TAKEN in another color so it's easily apparent to our members that something is no longer available. This avoids disappointments and keeps you from getting more requests for an item that has already been claimed. Or, just edit your post to delete that item.
If one of us contacts you about changing your post, please understand that we have to follow PBS rules and guidelines. Often we have to ask someone to change or delete a post because of that. New things come up here all the time. If something is not appropriate, we will tell you so, and ask you to change it. Remember that the PBS team does oversee the forums. They edit posts and have been known to suspend accounts. We hate to have that happen to our fellow RAOKers when we can take care of problems ourselves.
RAOK reminders for people requesting something that is offered here
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to PM me and ask. We are always happy to be of help to members of the RAOK forum, new or old. Thanks for participating in this great part of PBS! Enjoy!
Please take a free book from my bookshelf!
PM your name and address, and which book you would like. One book per person, just send a PM with your choice and address.

2) Kimmy Y.
3) Vicki B.
4) April K.
5) Jean F.

Stuff to give away this month:
I have several different bundles of cards/stationary that I am going to share the love. When requesting-tell the bundle number and your address please. First come, first serve.
#2-Five different polar bear cards that are blank inside-the other card is a Polar Bear Xmas card.--I want this to go to a serious Polar Bear lover.
#3- Two new Get Well cards and Two new Sympathy cards
#4-One pack of three different notepads-one is Xmas themed.
And as always I will make a few people a handmade bookmark or perhaps a magnet. I have more supplies to make bookmarks than magnets.

Online: All You magazine, which has LOTS of coupons, has a daily free sample feature on their website, where they post free samples and deals from around the web. The daily free sample home page is http://www.allyou.com/coupons-deals/daily-free-samples, and you can go back through their calendars of samples from there. You can also sign up to have daily email notices sent.
Things to mail: Some of the images are cut around the edges because the items didn't fit totally on the scanner screen.
Decor paper shapes (heavier paper, like a card) – they could be used for classrooms or children’s rooms, as cards, for Sunday School or VBS, to write notes on the back of, or whatever else you might think of. :) The longest dimension on any of them is about 6 inches. 4 sets, please say in your PM which set(s) you want:
Stickers (please include in your PM which set you want):
Bookmarks made from paperboard packaging. Yeah, I know, but I thought some of these images were fun and would make good bookmarks. :) In your PM tell me which bookmarks you want.

For any who have not seen this: Jeanne has started a monthly birthday thread in the RAOK forum. In it members who have a birthday for the month post and ask for good wishes. Check it out. Sounds good to me.
New kelloggs code:
For those that don't know--Kelloggs has changed their website now on how to recieve points. I think they will be phasing out the codes in the packages very soon. I haven't seen many new codes online to give out either. So it might take you longer to rack up points if they stop both ways of doing this.
