I know, hundreds of best selling authors show up at your library every year to hawk their books, but make sure you don't miss the apperance of author Jacqueline Winspear. I have to admit I have never read her Maisie Dobbs mystery series, but it is on Mount TBR, so I thought I would go see what she was like. Well, she is delightful with a good sense of humor and not to be missed. Her research and keen interest in World War I was fascinating.

I have really enjoyed the Maisie Dobbs books. Ms. Winspear has a very intellectual style of writing that I like. Her mysteries are rich in historical detail and descriptive writing with clever, well-developed plots. Hope the first one makes it to top of your TBR soon!
