I love this book to use and to read. It's an amazing journey through America via its recipes. Here you will find an amazing array of dishes to read and learn about. That's not to say you won't try many and find new favorites here because you will. I inherited my mom's copy of this book and though both covers are long gone and it's full of stains, I still turn to it when I want to make blueberry pie and nut butter balls(delicious!) among other favorites. This book taught me how to make my first pie at age 15 and it was the book I took out to teach my son when he was 15 also. This is a great historical and practical kitchen reference tool.
