Oct 20th is the release date for James Patterson's first nonfiction novel called Against Medical Advice. It's about Cory Friedman, a young boy who struggles with Tourette's Syndrome, obsessive- compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorder. Cory's father and Mr. Patterson wrote this together. You can go to his website and read the first 20 pages - it is pretty intense! In the first 20 pages, one part tells about being referred to a psychiatric hospital and how they (apparently) barely got Cory out without committing him only by telling them they were leaving AMA - against medical advice so the hospital had to release him. I only read the excerpts listed, but it is very intriguing. I'm really looking forward to reading it!
