One of my favorite cookbooks, love having the recipes that my "friends" would make in the Mitford series. Great stories with the recipes too.
Absolutely love this book! If is far more beautiful than I imagined. More like a coffee table book. Beautifully written with authentic southern recipes. My father, who grew up in the south, was the cook in our family. I was surprised to find dishes that we enjoyed at home. It never dawned on me that these delights came from the south. As a little girl, I thought he made them up himself and simply served them with love. This beautiful book confirms that cooking and serving food with love is indeed the heart of southern home cooking.
