Sticker Train 17 is finishing up, so it is time to post a sign up for Janet's Train 18 that Nancy is kindly starting :) Janet has requested a cool variety for her train of snowmen, owls, and cats! :) Remember, all stickers are welcome. The themes have made the process more fun for me and I hope that has been true for all of you as well. ETA: A reminder that this train is also in celebration of Janet's upcoming November half birthday!

Same operating procedures, fun for everyone, welcome to all, and a reminder to please try and keep cargo flat to save on postage. I did last week bring to the PO a small manila envelope that had 50 sheets of stickers stacked inside along with a card plus two pieces of printer paper folded over to simulate our passenger list. The total cost to have mailed this across country was $2.45. The PO clerk said it was not heavy enough to be considered a package so it definitely was envelope rate. As this train gets underway, I will post a separate future train talk thread, so we can all come together and plan for 2018 :) Our trains tend to run 2 1/2 months at a time so this Train 17 will probably be our final one for this year. As always, any suggestions or questions, please ask or PM me :) 

Thank you Kimmy very much for the friendly reminder to all passengers to please try for quick turnaround time. We understand delays happen! We do ask as a rule that you mail the train onward within 3 days of receiving. Also, and this to me is so important, please take a moment to let us know when you both have received and mailed off the train! This way the process is kept active and fun and receipients also know when to listen harder for the train whistle. 

Please sign up for this train 18 by Sunday, October 15th. Remember, if you are NEW to our trains, welcome aboard! Please remember to PM me your mailing info! I would also appreciate (for new riders only) your birthday as well. This is in pre-planning for 2018 :) thanks so much.

Im in!  Perhaps add something Mona about having everyone understand that getting the train back out on the tracks as quickly as possible would be good. I know the person at the end waiting for the train has to wait a really long time. So if everyone can tryt to get the train back out ASAP it would be good for the person in the caboose waiting for 2 months or longer.. :)

Thanks for that report Nancy. Wow, that is a huge difference :( That is not fair that $3 is a set rate. As I have posted, not long ago, I took an envelope with 50 sheets of stickers plus one card and that was only $2.45. I may try that again sometime soon (or if any of you have time and would do that that would be awesome) and see what the cost would be. I chose 50 simply because that has been our max number of sheets.  If $3 is going to be the minimum, I am guessing that would be and up should it turn into a package? :( 

I did not like two trains at all as all of you know. I also know a lot of you did not either. We may need to discuss other options sooner than later to cut back on cost. :/ Meantime, I hope you got your train 17 today Nancy!
