I loved Ramona as a child, and as a young adult (probably too old to be confessing to reading this book), I love Beverly Cleary's YA novels. I sympathized with Jean and her struggles, and I loved the growth of the character through the novel. It only took about four hours to read, but I thoroughly enjoyed the four-hour distraction. It's well worth picking up one of Cleary's YA novels, even if you are too old for them.
