I have 9780307346193 To Hold the Crown and 9780307346209 The King's Confidante both from the Tudor series.  Both are trade ppbks in great condition.  I would like to send them both to the same person to save on postage.  If you would like them both let me know and i will post directly to your WL.

I've been collecting the Tudor series to read next year and neither of these titles are listed on Jean Plaidy's web page.  They look like the recent reprints that are being done with new titles.  Does anyone know what the original titles of these are?  I couldn't find it anywhere!

Ugh, why do they change titles?  I hate that!

Christa, on Amazon, "To Hold the Crown" is called the first of the Tudor series, so that would make it "Uneasy lies the head."

"The King's Confidante" is billed as the 4th book in the series; one of the reviewers said she read it first as "St. Thomas Eve."    (But according to Fantastic Fiction, St. Thomas Eve is the 6th book.)  I guess you could compare plots at this point to make sure.

I"m so glad I'm not the only person to collect books to read next year!  ;D

So in that same Amazon blurb, it says "The King's Confidante" is the 4th book of the 9 book Tudor series.  But the original Tudor series was 11 books.  I think what has happened is when they re-published, they combined the 3 original books on Catherine of Aragon, which were books 2, 3 and 4, into one new book, which is book 2.  So that the old book 6 is now the new book 4!  How confusing!

Either way, I'm going to take these books off of blubonnet's hands unless someone else has already done so.

That's even worse than just changing the titles!  Arrgghhh.

Christa, you are right on all the titles. I have these at home. I need to go through all of the old mmpb's I have because I am pretty sure I have some duplicate titles in there now.

Oh, I wish they'd leave titles alone! Why make it so confusing??? Unless they want us to slip up and buy the same book twice. It's an evil plot, I tell ya!

I was just trying to make a little spreadsheet to reference the old titles to the new titles and it is soooo confusing!  At least on Amazon, they've also given them different subtitles that make it even harder...."The Tudor Princesses"  "The Tudor Queens"  "Henry VIII Wives"....I thought I had all the versions of the Tudor series on my WL, but I'm finding that I don't have some of these re-titled ones.   ugh.

There's a website that lists all of her books by category.  It may list old names/new names.  I'll look for it when I get home.

I think reprinting it under a different name is a ploy so we buy the book twice. I have done that several times....

Christa let me know which ones you are missing are have slew of them. I pick them up when I see them in used books stores.
