Ok does the new attitions to the bones series have to be read in order.  I have first drop of crimson but my mom has it and I also have Eternal Kiss of Darkness and it is here at my house.  I don't want to read it just incase there might be some kind of spoiler in it.  So if you've read them does it matter what order i read them in???  What do you guys thing should I start reading Eternal Kiss of Darkness or wait untill i've read First Drop of Crimson?

I would recommend reading them in order. The second continues the story line from the first. And yes definitely spoilers ahead if you start with the second

I have only had the first and I am patiently waiting for Eternal Kiss.   I think you should read them in order because of the character developement.

I don't actually think you need to read them in order - the books in this series seem to stand alone much better than the Night Huntress series, which you definitely need to read in order.  This new series seems much more like PNR to me, so less important to read in order.  And I'm usually a stickler for reading in order.  Just my 2 cents.  :)

Do you need to have read all the cat and bones books to read them?

well I'm going to figure this out for us all.

Ashley I would say that you probably need to read the Cat and Bones books first since they introduce you to the characters.

I didn't read the Cat & Bones books until after I read "First Drop of Crimson".   I didn't feel like I missed anything and it only made me want to read about Cat & Bones.  I have since read them and I await "Eternal Kiss".  This is just my opinion and not written in blood.

Actually I have put "First Drop of Crimson" back on my WL because I think by the time I get "Eternal Kiss" (236 WL) I will need to refresh myself on the whole Night Huntress World again.heart

I'm a stickler for reading in order so Ashley I would say you most certainly need to read the Cat and Bones book 1st if you plan to read them.  If you don't plan on ever reading them......I guess it then wouldn't make a difference.  Starting with 1st Drop of Crimson would give away some major plot points of the major series!!  I personally don't like knowing what is going to eventually to happen in a series I'm reading.

I think you should read them in order, too. First Drop has major plot spoilers for the other Night Huntress books.

I've read all the Cat and Bones books up until the latest.....I keep putting it off, cause I know I love the series, but the blurb makes me nervous lol

Marie, I totally have to read books in order too...but with this one being not exactly the same series, I didn't know if I wanted to risk it or not lol

Ashley, I actually put the last book off up until this week, then once I started, I couldn't put it down.  It was really good.   Go for it, you won't be sorry.  I'm just finishing up First Drop of Crimson as well.
