Jennifer Hudson Taylor is looking for influencers on her upcoming book, Path of Freedom. I have included the info below that she expects from an influencer. If you are interested, please PM me for her email. Don't feel comfortable posting it on here.  You don't have to do all of the things below but she asks you do a couple.

When Quakers Flora Saferight and Bruce Millikan embark on the Underground Railroad, they agree to put their differences aside to save the lives of a pregnant slave couple. With only her mother's quilt as a secret guide, they follow her stitches through unknown treachery on a path of promise where love sustains them, courage builds faith, and forgiveness leads to freedom.

I'm excited about the release of this book in January 2013 thru Abingdon Press for the new Quilts of Love series. I've dedicated it to my Quaker ancestors and named the heroine after my great-grandmother. I hope you enjoy it!

You may begin listing your reviews on Amazon, B&N, ChristianBooks and other sites as soon as they allow it. If you would like to post your review on your website/blog, please send me the date of when you plan to post it, and I will try and coordinate cross-promoting it with you. I ask that reviews be posted between the last week of December (after Christmas) thru February. What do Influencers do?
They:

  • Read Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs & eARCs) and write reviews. They post these reviews on their personal websites/blogs, as well as Amazon, B&N, ChristianBooks, Books-A-Million, Goodreads and LifeWay.
  • Participate in online blog tours, giving authors interviews, either thru written formats, audio podcasts or video platforms.
  • Allow authors to provide guest posts on their blog sites.
  • Post announcements about the book release to their followers on social media sites.
  • Suggest books to book clubs they might be a part of and to local libraries and bookstores to carry the book.
  • Talk about the book (in a good way) to promote it and spread news about the book.
  • Distribute bookmarks, postcards and other memorabilia from the author to friends, family and ministry groups at church.
  • If you have a women's ministry at your church or a youth group, try to coordinate a way for the author to visit and speak to your group. The author doesn't have to talk about their book, many authors have speaking platforms on faith and inspirational topics.
  • Record a 10-20 second video snippet telling readers what you liked about the book, email it to me for the upcoming video book trailer on Path of Freedom.
