The book was interesting but it really lacks depth. There is very little in the book that shows just how terrible it is to be married to a Kennedy, especially Ted Kennedy. This friend of Joan's treats her like a child in the book. Joan could have had a happy life if she hadn't married into the worst family in American history.

The book illustrates the stresses Joan Kennedy faced "living with the Kennedys." The portrait is multifaceted and not always flattering. Many intimate candid photos.
