I don't know if this qualifies as "chick lit", but is anyone a Joci Picoult fan?  I absolutely love her books and highly reccomend them.  The best one, in my opinion, and also the first one I read was "My Sister's Keeper".  I hear they are making it into a movie....not sure if I'm happy about that or not.  Also "The Pact" and "Nineteen Minutes" are high up on my list of favorites!

She seems to be an author that everyone either hates or loves.   Put me in the loves column!  I just read her latest "Change of Heart" and loved it.    I like the way she looks at situations from everyone's viewpoint.   If there is an anithero in her books, she gives what they are thinking as well as the "good guys" view.   I think she's more contempary fiction but who cares?  lol

I've read My Sister's Keeper, The Pact, The Tenth Circle, Salem Falls, Nineteen Minutes and on my TBR I have Plain Truth and Vanishing Acts.  I wasn't too fond of Salem Falls. The Tenth Circle was okay, but the other three I really liked. I will keep reading her books, though.

Yes, I have her new one "Change of Heart" sitting on my night stand and ready to read.  I'm trying to hold out and  finish "Slummy Mummy"  by Fiona Neill first.  I may just have to read two books @ once though, b/c I"m dying to start it.

I am reading Change of Heart right now.  I am about 1/2 way through it right now.  I love her books too!!!  I have read My Sister's Keeper (I cried!)  I have also read Nineteen Minutes, Vanishing Acts, Tenth Circle (My least fav so far) and I have Salem Falls and Songs of a Humpback Whale to read.  She is a great author and I too enjoy her perspectives from each person in the book!  Renee'

I've never read Song of the Humpback Whale.  I guess I should check it out.  I thought I had read all her books, but I somehow missed this one!

It was her first, if I'm not mistaken.  I try to read an author's books in the order they were published, so I started with that one, which had the oldest copyright date.

Sheryl! It's so nice to read that I'm not the only one that does that with author's books. I just asked my friend about Jodi's books as I have never read one of her's. I'll have to check her out.

I just started reading Picoult.

I've read The Tenth Circle, My Sister's Keeper, and Nineteen Minutes.

I have Plain Truth to read next.  I live near Lancaster County, so it should be an interesting read.

I love her books.  I read Plain Truth first, and it is still my favorite.

They are making a movie out of My Sister's Keeper, but I hear they are changing the ending which I don't understand since that sort of makes the book once you get that far....

There is a movie for Plain Truth out there somewhere, maybe a lifetiem movie, but it was fun to see after reading the book. My book club watched it after we read the book.

I just finished Nineteen Minutes. Everyone who went to high school ought to read it!

Oh, that sucks!  Why would they change the ending?  Silly...... that's what makes the book so poignant.

I absolutely love Jodi Picoult. I've read Harvesting The Heart (my least favorite), Nineteen Minutes,The Pact, Vanishing Acts, Plain Truth, and My Sister's Keeper. I have Mercy lying around here somewhere, I bought it ages ago and could never get into it. I'm looking forward to getting Change of Heart soon and reading it though.

Off topic:

Collette--you would have laughed seeing DH and I try to arrange his Jack Higgins books in order of copyright the other night!  Higgins has been publishing books since the 60s, so we have probably 40 or so book sof his.  But yes, I read in order published because I don't want to read a sequel before its predecessor.

I found vanishing acts, the tenth circle, and harvesting the heart all at my goodwill store.  I haven't read any of her books though.  I bought them because I knew she is a very popular author on here.  Any suggestions on which one I should read first?

Thanks.

Jodi
