I have another great author who writes great stories....

I really enjoyed The Next Big Thing....

I LOVE that book!  All of her books are very good, but I liked that one best out of all of them.  Did you know she wrote a teen lit book, "Go Figure", under the pen name Jo Edwards?  It was a very quick and fun read.  If you like the whole "reality" tv aspect of The Next Big Thing, another really good book to check out is "As Seen on Tv" by Sarah Mlynowski.  (She is also another really, really talented author)

Not to discourage you from Sarah M.  but sometimes the Red Dress Ink ones are too drawn out for me.
