John Zuur Platten is an American video game script writer and author. He lives in Burbank, California. Platten has had a successful career working alone and in conjunction with others. His most productive collaboration is with Flint Dille. Together they were the first to sell a game design document as a feature film, Venom, which they subsequently produced. Their co-authored book on game design is a best seller in Amazon's "Audio and Video Editing," "Authorship," and "Game Programming" categories. Also with Dille, Platten formed The Bureau of Film and Games, an intellectual property company.
