This is a pretty good story about how three couples lifes got turned upside down with the Stock Market crash of 1929. Going from a life of luxury to poverty, it gives a great description of how they had to adapt and change during that turbulant period in history. The book will put you through the whole gammet of emotions, at one moment in tears to laughter on the next page. This book is part of a series but it does seem to end quite abruptly. I think the author could have done a better job making it a stand alone book but that's just my opinion.
