Caitlin BUrke returns to her family's New Mexico ranch to find the place she loves changed and a neighbor scheming to take it over. Even more upsetting, her horse Night Sky is terribly injured and placed in the care of Gabe Hart. Their love of the horse draws them together. Their lives are threatened and Gabe promises to help Cait's family stop a murderer.
