One of the earlier books by this author. Very good.

Quite a change from Travis McGee. Teed Morrow and his boss are involved in cleaning up a town. On the way to doing that Teed runs into a call girl. This is in the line of duty folks. I'm sure you know how this ends, after all it's a John D. MacDonald book.

There's death, shootings, gangsters and the like throughout the book.

Enjoyable but tedious.

Even back in 1951 Mr. MacDonald was a fabulous author.
