Hey all sorry if this has been posted/answered before. I was just wondering if Judith Mcnaught would ever be writing a new book. I read on Amazon awhile ago that she had stopped writing, but am unable to verify that. Also, does anyone know when/if Lisa Valdez will ever write a new book? her website updates once maybe twice a year which is super aggravating. Lastly, does anyone have any recs for writers similar to Judith Mcnaught? Thanks.

Evelyn, my guess is that JM is done writing. I forget what she was working on, but it was a while ago and I just don't think it's going to happen. Unfortunate, because she's definitely a favorite of mine! There's a feature on All About Romance's site that shows authors and similar authors. Here's JM's list of similar:

Jude Deveraux
Barbara Freethy
Teresa Hill
Lisa Kleypas
Julia London    Julie Anne Long
Dinah McCall/Sharon Sala
Marilyn Pappano
Karen Robards's historicals
Mariah Stewart

I can't imagine anyone would bet on Lisa Valdez to write the last book. How many years did we wait for Patience? She'd say the book would be done in a few months and then a year later she'd apologize for another delay.

the only reason why I think it will eventually  happen is that she has a contract. She posts a few times a year saying it will be out in a particular season, and then after the year ends says she was wrong. I'm not sure why her publisher puts up with that. I will say that Passion is one of my top 5 favorite books of all time, and I liked Patience a lot, so I'm holding out hope on Primrose =)
