I read Shadow Music & loved it...  The setting was historical.  Shadow Dance has characters with the same last name (Buchanan, MacKenna), so I expected that they would be connected.  The book names are similar as well.....  So I was surprised to find a contemporary setting in this book, but the character is studying history.  No characters that sounded familiar to me were mentioned..... and then in the end, she said it all started with a lie.  Is the lie related to the treasure of St. Biel?  (I apologize for any spelling errors.  I read a lot of audiobooks, so I'm not familiar with some spellings...)

I would recommend either book, but Shadow Music was superior.  It had such a perfectly lovely ending... where Shadow Dance really just confused me.

Thanks ahead of time for your thoughts:)
