I LOVED this book. It's a take off on the Montagues and Capulets from Shakespeare, but this Julie and Romeo are in their 60's and it's their kids who want to keep them apart. This was a really fun read.

Julie and Romeo by Jeanne Ray is the modern version of Romeo and Juliet. The adult Julie and Romeo in present times has an ex husband, flower shops, and grown children to deal with. The family has been fighting for so long the main people are not sure why they are fighting and the elderly matriarch doesn’t want to tell. Will the star crossed lovers in modern times find a happy ending or are they doomed to repeat history?

It is an easy read with funny characters. After reading it, I was looking forward to more of Ray’s books.
