Love Medicine:  Louise Erdrich.  One of her mesmerizing novels about  American Indians.  Since the author is of that heritage, she weaves a wonderful tale!

The Kite Runner...one of the most intriguing books I have ever read!

The Luck of the Irish:  Our Life in County Clare.  A memoir written by a couple who left the US to settle in a family home in Ireland.  Fascinating!

Patty Jane's House of Curl:  Lorna Landvik.  Delightful and complex story revolving around Patty Jane, who owns a beauty salon.  Fun read!

Quitting the Nairobi Trio:  Jim Knipfel.  Memoir of a quirky guy who was hospitalized due to his mental state.  Funny and striking!

Wreaths 'Round the Year:   More than Ninety Inspiring Wreaths to Make and Enjoy.  That says it all!

1.) Jemima J by Jane Green -One of my FAVE Jane Green books because I identified a lot with the protagonist/narrarator.  So cute and endearing!

2.) Because She Can by Bridie Clark -Not many people know about this one, but it is a can't put down page-turner.  Think Devils Wears Prada, but better!

3.) Kissing in Technicolor by Jane Mendle -Being an aspiring screenwriter myself, it was funny seeing the romances of the entertainment industry.

4.) Shopaholic Ties the Knot by Sophie Kinsella -It's the third Shopaholic book, and who doesn't love them?

5.) Dude, Where's My Country? by Michael Moore -I'm a political science fanatic and a liberal.  Michael Moore is one of my pseudo-heroes.

Offering 3/2 from my shelf, any books!

I decided to glean my shelves of all of my true crime books that deal primarily with British historical or sensational crimes.  I think my favorites are the one about the New Scotland Yard Black Museum and the investigations during WW2.

Maria Marten and the Red Barn Murder  The most sensational crime in the 19th century in England...until the Ripper came along. Thanks to the tabloids

Murder on the Home Front  Just like Foyle's War, only true.

The Murders of the Black Museum 1870-1970  Over 600 pages of Scotland Yard investigations.

Myster Reader's Walking Guide: England   This is  a guide book  that takes the tourist to the scene of the crime in mysteries...the location of Morse's cases in Oxford, Caedfal's Shrewsbury,  the actual pub where Rumpole drank before he went home to "She Who Must Be Obeyed" Lots of fun.

Murder In High Places  I bought this because of Lord Lucan since I was in London when he killed his nanny.  So far, he's been spotted everywhere except Wrigley Field.
