To me, this book was as good or better than Grisham or Clancy. It keeps you guessing. The mysterious plight of a lawyer, who does not know where his dreams, or faded memeory flashes originated and his journey to discover it all leads him right to the Government and the President himself. Excellent read. GinaK

This is the first book I've read by Robert Dugoni. I wasn't too impressed, but will try another in the hopes he gets better.

Average page-turner with misleading title designed to take advantage of "legal thriller" boom.

A little predictable, but still a good read.

Not too many books grab me by the throat and don't let go until it's finished, but this one did! My first Dugoni novel, but I'll be on the lookout for more. His characters are interesting - the good and bad ones - and the story moves at a rapid pace. Highly recommend!

A master manipulator, David Sloane, can grab a jury and make it dance. A good legal read, one that keeps you guessing.

This was a decent read if you like thrillers, but.... the title is TOTALLY DECIEVING) (and I am annoyed because I believe it was intentional) because this is a POLITICAL thriller...NOT a LEGAL thriller as the blurb indicates in trying to wrongly compare it to John Grisham. The first few pages and the last page are in a courtroom... all of perhaps 5 pages out of 500!!!! One measely percent doesn't make it a "legal" thriller. It is more like a David Baldacci cop thriller. I look forward to reading other Dugoni books... but with little expectation that they will be any more "Legal" or "Grisham style".

Great read, though I really got upset at the arrogance of the "good guy"! LOL

When I finished The Conviction by Dugoni I wanted to read more about David Sloane but this one just didn't cut it for me---it was tedious reading just to get the story started and it didn't get started until almost halfway which by that time I was skipping and skimming to get to a good part, tedious reading descriptions and all the running, fighting, etc. was tedious enough, when the story hit the part where Mexico was involved in the story then I just quit! I am so tired of authors that have to write about cartels etc., gets very annoying.

I intend to try another one with David Sloane, they can't all be tedious
