So I have really loved the Fever series she has out.  The last book had references to the guys(can't remember his name)  "uncles" in Scotland, and somebody said the uncles were crossover from her Highlander series.  I had never read the others, so I checked out the first one, and it is very romanc-y to me.  It doesn't seem like there is anyway for them to link up to me.

Has anyone read the rest of the Highland series?  Is it worth continuing?  Right now I find myself doing a lot of eye rolling.  It is so different from Fever, I wonder if it is just because it is the first one, and it grows with time?

Any input?

I've read the Highlander series and think they are completely different than the Fever series.  The Highlander series is PNR and the Fever series is UF - my opinion.  I don't believe you need to read both series if you don't care for PNR.

I like paranormal romance, and I don't like the Highlander series much.  All of them seem to have a very beautiful, brilliant woman in her early twenties magically fall in with a highlander.  I read one or two that were okay, and one (Beyond the Higland Mist) that was plain awful.  I have the fever books in my TBR, because I've been promised they will be different.  Based on the premise though I can see the possibility for crossover as members of the fae feature prominently in several of the Highlander novels .

I"ve read the Highlander books but I'm not much into urban fantasy - I like romance. The last 4 books or so did have more of the magic tossed in with a bunch of nookie..Adam from the first book(the fae) redeems himself as the books go on and finally gets his story later on. There are 2 brothers involved in that.they broke one of the laws by going back in time to change something personal and that was a no-no then there's another story about  a guy trapped in a mirror..I felt t hese got too 'magic-y' for me but I liked the romance and wanted to finish the series. I haven't rea dthe fae books but I"m guessing the uncles are those 2 brothers..they were keepers or something..trying to remember - something about their family held the 'book' or whatever it was called and were the only ones able to cross between their wold and the fae world or something(told you the magic stuff lost me sorry!)

I'm still waiting on Dreamfever and Faefever and I've really liked this story so far. I can take PNR, but I like UF better. Wasn't wanting to read the Highlander series. Thanks for the info!
