Kijewski is a very entertaining writer.
I've loved every one of her books.
This series is intelligently written with flashes of humor throughout the attention-holding mystery.

All of Karen Kijewski's books are fun. Clever writing, fast reading. I particularly enjoy them because they are set in the Sacramento area, and that is where I live. It's fun to read about places I've been to. The "girl" detective Kat Colorado drinks diet Dr. Pepper and instant espresso just like real people.

This is just the right kind of mystery! Great characters, great mystery, great humor AND developing characters. These books can be read individually, but because the characters develop it is best to read them in order.
