I've just gotten into audiobooks lately.  I only listen to them in the car.  I recently acquired Can You Keep a Secret by Sophie Kinsella on CD from here.  I gotta tell ya, the narrator is a hoot!  I don't know if i would have enjoyed the book as much if I'd read it.  I totally recommend it on CD if you can get it.    It's a great story anyway but the gal who reads it does a fantastic job.

I loved this book and laughed out loud at it many times. I'll have to get the book on cd now as I would love to hear it too. Thanks!

The Stephanie Plum books are fantastic on audio.  I listened to all the Harry Potters on audio and the narrator was great.

If I hadn't already gotten the Plum books, I'd so get them on CD!

I've read the book, and I think it would adapt very well to audio.  I may have to think about getting that one.

This is totally non-chick-lit related, but my favorite books on tape are Michael Palin's travel books (around the world in 80 days, etc.)  He's one of the Monty Python boys, and he's witty and fun -- and he has a *dreamy* voice.  Reads his own books for the tapes.  It's the best 'music' to do housework to, to go on long walks with, etc.

I'm always looking for good books on cd. I usually don't like to listen to something I would normally read but listening to something I have already read is ok. I'll have to check out Palin's stuff. Do they come in cd form? or just tape? Anyone else have good suggestions? I have listened to one of the Plum tapes and that was quite good. I love the Nanny Diaries read by Julia Roberts. She was perfect!

Can  You Keep A Secret was my first audio book.  I really enjoyed the narrator but just not used to the format.  I still have the actual book and think I will have to read it also.  But I do like the audio book concept...very handy, especially when you are working on a craft or cooking project and can still get through the book.

I listened to "Can You Keep a Secret?" on audiobook too and I loved it as well.  I also listened to Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series on audiobook and the narrator of the first three books was fabulous too.  There was a new narrator on "Shopaholic and Sister" and I didn't enjoy her nearly as much as I did the narrator who did the first three books :-(

Another great book to listen to on audio is Cecelia Ahearn's "Rosie Dunne." (aka "Love, Rosie").   I don't think I would have enjoyed it nearly as much if I had read the book.  It must be the accents I like.  LOL
