I loved this book, it was so good. The castle is falling down around Sara's ears and she is determined to keep it and make it a home which she does. The lawyer is the type who is never going to fall in love, and gets everything he wants due to his skill and charm, but because Sara does not fall to his whims, he is enchanted. This is a great feel good, happily ever after love story.

This is a great book with a likable main character and a engaging plot. The story is about a widow who has inherited a chateau in France. There is some intrigue and romance which makes for a cozy read!

I'm not usually one for contemporary romances but I love books set in other countries so that's what piqued my interest.

I enjoyed the book but the ending fell flat. I got the feeling the author just wanted to wrap it up and finish. I also don't like that the author didn't allow the reader to see the outcome of the one piece of intrigue in the story. I mean, it was alluded to and we can guess what the outcome was but it wasn't finalized yet it was touted throughout most of the book.

But that's actually minor since the rest of the story was so good. The characters grew as the story progressed, which is something I look for in any genre I read.

While there wasn't really any commentary or color on the local area featured in the story, it was a wonderful romance that featured very likeable characters.
