This is a fun piece of writing. Malgwyn, the one-armed soldier is a shrewd and powerful sleuth. A tortured soul, Malgwyn is pulled from his life of drinking and debauchery at the command of King Arthur to find out who murdered a young serving girl at Arthur's court, a girl who happens to be the sister of Malgwyn's murdered wife. The book is filled with blood, guts, treason, treachery, druids and lots of mud and muck. Good fun!
