I've noticed people posting about Swagbucks, and it is indeed an awesome site--I've never used any of its shopping/recycling features (I usually use Ebates, Cashbaq, or Mr. Rebates to get actual cash back on my online purchases instead of their points; Ebates works with more stores anway, even eBay, although the others sometimes have higher cashback percentages, so it's worth taking a few minutes to check them all each time you plan to buy something online), only the searches and various Swag Codes released in different places, and I've accumulated about $15 in Amazon gift cards, $10 straight up over PayPal, an mp3, and a couple music videos. That's on the low end, since a lot of people have earned way more.

Well, there's a new site up called Lockerz that's a bit similar--it's still in beta mode, but you'll be able to earn Ptz through shopping and answering daily questions, and redeem them for cash and prizes. The cool thing (well, one of the cool things) is that you can get 2 Ptz just for logging in each day and another 2 for answering a quick daily question. Even if you do nothing else on the site, doing that every day--which takes like 30 seconds--will get you up to the 150-pt iPod Shuffle in just over a month. Bigger prizes cost more Ptz, of course, but that's still a pretty decent price.

Because it's still in beta, it can be pretty buggy and several of the features aren't available yet, but the chance to earn 4 Ptz per day for almost no effort and rack up points while the program's in beta is nothing to sneeze at. Also probably because it's in beta, you have to be invited, but since I'm a member I can invite anyone who PMs me their e-mail address.
